PROGRAM SYNOPSIS

If you are a science/physics teacher or educator looking to further your career or want to become a science educator and engage with the theoretical aspects of Physics education before your career begins, this may be the ideal degree for you. Master of Education (Physics) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is a postgraduate program aimed at educators and professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge of physics and its pedagogy. This program combines advanced studies in core physics concepts with innovative teaching strategies to enhance the quality of physics education. It focuses on developing critical thinking, research skills, and practical applications in teaching and learning, preparing graduates for roles in academia, educational research, or curriculum development. The program provides a balance of theoretical and practical approaches to foster excellence in physics education. Students will have an opportunity to engage learning with the international group and academic staff who have a broad range of research interests.

PREREQUISITE (IMPORTANT NOTICE)
YHPP 1013-FOUNDATION OF EDUCATION :

1. Starting semester 1 session 2023/24 session, postgraduate students who do not have qualifications in the field of education or work experience related to education must pass the prerequisite course set on the first semester of study before being allowed to register core courses of the study program.
2. Students need to repeat the prerequisite courses in the following semester if failed.
3. Students only allowed to take core courses of the program after students pass the prerequisite courses.
