PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS
The program is designed to produce graduates with advanced knowledge and skills in the theory, principles, and application of measurement and evaluation in educational and research contexts. The program emphasises the development of competencies in analysing, interpreting, and utilising assessment data to inform effective decision-making across diverse fields such as education, psychology, training, and organisational development.
The curriculum covers key areas including classical and modern test theory, instrument development, quantitative data analysis, application of measurement models such as Rasch, rubric construction, and evidence-based evaluation. Students are also introduced to innovative approaches such as authentic assessment, formative and summative evaluation, and technology integration in measurement.
The program adopts an interactive teaching approach, combining lectures, case discussions, and practical assignments to ensure that students can apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. Graduates will be equipped to design, implement, and evaluate transparent, valid, and reliable measurement and evaluation systems, contributing to the enhancement of education and research quality at both national and international levels.
