PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS
The Educational Psychology Programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to critically analyze and address challenges in educational settings. Through a blend of theoretical foundations and practical application, the program fosters an understanding of how cognitive, emotional, and social factors influence learning and development. Students will learn to apply psychological principles to assess and resolve educational issues, make informed decisions, and generate innovative solutions to improve teaching, learning, and student well-being. The program prepares graduates to contribute effectively to educational systems, schools, and research through a focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and evidence-based strategies.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES
PEO1: Proficient in applying and communicating in-depth relevant knowledge in solving problems critically and analytically in the field of educational psychology.
PEO2: Career advancement through life-long learning and competencies in leadership, interpersonal and digital skills.
PEO3: Practice ethical principles and entrepreneurial mindset within a professional and societal context.
PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES
- PLO 1: Apply knowledge critically and cohesively to manage and resolve problems or issues in educational psychology towards making decision and producing new ideas and solutions.
- PLO 2: Analyze and synthesize critically to solve real world problems or issues in educational psychology.
- PLO 3: Demonstrate advanced practical and technical skills in educational psychology to solve educational problems.
- PLO 4: Collaborate among learning and/or working communities and other groups and networks.
- PLO 5: Communicate clearly the knowledge, skills and ideas using appropriate methods to peers, experts, and non-experts.
- PLO 6: Use a wide range of suitable digital technologies and appropriate software competently to enhance learning and research.
- PLO 7: Demonstrate skills in designing, planning and executing statistical analysis through quantitative and/or qualitative research.
- PLO 8: Demonstrate autonomy, leadership and responsibility in managing work within own team and with other teams in the context of problem solving.
