| Programme Summary
Why study MEd (Physics) and PhD (Physics Education) at Faculty of Education? MEd (Physics) and PhD (Physics Education) programmes encompass taught course and research work. The taught courses and research areas cover contemporary aspects in Physics Education such as problem-solving, creativity & innovation, epistemological beliefs in Physics learning, metacognition, Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge, and so forth. The programmes are effectively managed by competent, experienced and student friendly members of academic staff capable of supervising students to graduate on time. For in-service teachers who enroll in this programme, special interest group of Action Research in Physics Education is introduced to enable research-based professional development among the in-service Physics teachers. A monthly colloquium is organised as a platform for all postgraduate students in Physics Education to learn special topics in sharpening their skills in educational research as well as to present their research ideas to be reviewed by other postgraduate students in a friendly and constructive manner. |
