Programme Summary Are you interested in areas primarily concerned with teaching and learning with psychological process explaining learning behavior? Are you prepared to broaden your knowledge in topics related to motivation, intelligence, memory, cognition, intellectual development, cultural diversity and assessment? The Educational Psychology program brings you a rich perspective of learning from the fundamental ideas of how people learn and grow to key issues in education. We offer full-time and part-time programs that will allow you to explore topics related to education from psychological perspectives. Educational Psychologists have a great deal of choices in choosing their career. Besides involving themselves in the traditional job as school teachers and lecturers, educational psychologists are prepared to work in a variety of settings from government to private and social service to become researchers, leaders, instructional designers, trainers, developers and evaluators of educational programs. Our goal is to produce effective people who will contribute to the enhancement and transformation of the journey of all learners through their lifespan. A Bachelor degree with good honours (CGPA 3.0 or above) from UTM or any other equivalent qualifications from other Institutions of Higher Learning are the usual entry requirements. Students without a degree in education are required to take three additional courses related to education. Foreign applicants are required to pass and show evidence of English proficiency. |
