Generic (MPO)

The Faculty of Education offers Masters of Philosophy/Generic Master (course code – MPO) and Doctor of Philosophy/Generic PhD (course code – PPG). These programs offers masters and PhD programs in variety of disciplines other than 24 programs offered in the Faculty of Education. The programs are conducted in research mode of study. The programs offer leading-edge research study that allows candidate to explore the complexities of studies related to their discipline. The area of studies may vary according to supervisor’s expertise.

Currently, the research area covered under the MPO and PPG are research related to physical education and sports science. This area provides opportunity for the research candidate to investigate motor development and performance of human movement striving for sports excellence. The programs also provide opportunities to discover current issues in physical therapy and rehabilitation as well as in sport testing and skills assessment to boost athlete performance. In addition, students are encouraged to investigate sports discipline related to special population to attain optimal well-being.

The Faculty of Education also invited research candidate to explore educational issues continuum. Candidates have the opportunity to explore the study related to early childhood education to the higher education research area.  In addition, as contemporary education setting embedded the technology into education, the Faculty boarder the research areas such as Multimedia in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Software or Courseware Development as well as Educational Data Management System.

Therefore, candidates are encouraged to refer and discuss to our academic staff related to their expertise to pursue proposed area of study in MPO/PPG program. All application needs to accompany with brief research proposal to be evaluated by the Faculty Postgraduate Committee.
