MPPS 1203 : Testing & Evaluation in Science Education

The focus of the course is on the testing and evaluation of science education. The
following issues will be explored in this course: the relationships between assessment
and learning theories in science education; school based assessment; test assessment
using statistical testing such as index of difficulty, discrimination, validity and reliability;
types of validity and reliability; evaluation of science teaching materials and various
types of assessment.
