This course focuses on the understanding,identifying and intervening with the behaviour disordered school-age population. These include the definition of behaviour disorders and theoretical explanations, classification, identification, individualized education program, and teaching students with behaviour disorders. Strategies in managing behaviour are discussed based on different types of behaviour disorders. The course intends to provide a practical guide to combine theory and best practices to help teachers, counsellors, parents, administrators and communities to meet the needs of students with behaviour disorders and to change their lives.
