This course provides students the opportunity to gain clinical experience post-practicum counseling with the aim to enable students to enhance their knowledge and application of counseling skills in professional training. Student supervision process involves two supervisors internship which is academic supervisor and field work supervisor. This practicum provides an opportunity for students to apply theory, counseling skills and theories has been learned in various places such as institutions of higher learning, hospitals, schools, community centers, rehabilitation centers, prisons, social welfare department, diagnostic centers, human resources department, the department of religion, corporate body and other organizations. The minimum period of internship is 504 hours in any period is 192 hours face to face contact with the client in the form of individual counseling sessions, group, family or marriage and the remaining tasks which is related to professional counselors.
