The Alumni Involvement initiative is a cornerstone of the Innovation in Education course, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application. By engaging alumni as project advisors, the program enriches the educational experience, offering students invaluable insights from seasoned professionals. This collaboration not only enhances the quality of student projects but also strengthens the bond between the faculty and its graduates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mentorship.<\/p>\n
As part of the <\/span>Innovation in Education (MHPU1013) <\/span><\/i>\u00a0course, three distinguished alumni, namely Cikgu Rinawati Abdul Sukoh from SMK Pasir Gudang, Master of Education (Mathematics) Alumnus,\u00a0 <\/span>Dr Sofiazanti Saleh founder of SAS Extreme Training and Consultancy and PhD Alumnus of FEST, and <\/span>Pn. Hazel Michelle Anak Aeng from Kolej Vokasional Tanjung Puteri Master of Education (TVET) alumnus, were invited to serve as advisors for students\u2019 innovation projects. This initiative was organised to strengthen collaboration between the faculty and its alumni while providing students with valuable insights from experienced practitioners in the field of education.<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the project development process, the alumni reviewed the students\u2019 innovation proposals and provided constructive feedback to enhance the quality, practicality, and relevance of the innovations developed. Drawing upon their professional experiences as educators and educational practitioners, the alumni shared suggestions on various aspects of the projects, including the suitability of the proposed innovations, potential implementation strategies, user-friendliness, and the overall impact on teaching and learning.<\/span><\/p>\n \n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.25.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The advisory sessions provided students with an opportunity to receive authentic feedback from professionals who understand the realities and challenges of educational practice. The alumni encouraged students to critically evaluate their ideas, refine their project designs, and consider the needs of potential users when developing educational innovations. Their guidance helped students gain a deeper understanding of how innovative ideas can be translated into meaningful solutions for educational settings.<\/span><\/p>\n The involvement of alumni in this course also highlighted the importance of lifelong connections between graduates and the university. By sharing their expertise and experiences, the alumni contributed significantly to enriching the students\u2019 learning experience and fostering a culture of collaboration and mentorship within the academic community.<\/span><\/p>\n Overall, the participation of Cikgu Rinawati, Dr Sofia, and Cikgu Hazel as project advisors added substantial value to the <\/span>Inovasi dalam Pendidikan<\/span><\/i> course.
