This course focuses on the cognitive aspects of learning. Students will be facilitated to examine various test models and theories of cognitive processes which enable them to re-examine their approach to teaching and learning. Among the relevant topics include the developmental aspects of human cognition, perception, attention, memory, and language development. Also include are topics on complex cognitions such as metacognition, decision making, problem solving and creativity. Contemporary issues related to the cognitive aspect of learning and the implications of implementing relevant concepts or theories to teaching and learning process in educational settings are also included in the discussions.
